Data Logging & Testing
D102 Data Logger System
A 43-channel analogue and digital computer interface with Windows compatible menu driven software for data logging and control of Engineering Laboratory Teaching and Research Equipment.

The software allows transducers to be easily and quickly configured to return data in the engineering units selected by the operator and for these configurations to be simply stored using a standard Windows format. The software includes a number of numerical and graphic display options and data files are easily exported to Excel or another spreadsheet format for report writing. Comprehensive instruction manuals are supplied suitable for student operation of the hardware and software.

Specifically designed transducers can be supplied to measure: pressure, temperature, flow rate, force, displacement, humidity, power, current, voltage, rotational speed and heat flow for most fluids and applications utilising the onboard power supplies ( ±5v, ±15v and +12v)

The interface has a simple and logical command format and a separate additional manual is available for those users who wish to write software for specialised control and instrumentation applications. A total of three Data Loggers may be connected to a single computer. For specialised applications calibration to traceable international standards is available.

D102A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Transducers
A  standard    transducer    package   to   measure   the performance of most commercial refrigerating  and   air-conditioning systems in conjunction with the  D102  Data Logger System. The transducers supplied include:

• Thermocouple Sensors
• High/Low Pressure Refrigerant Transducer
• Refrigerant Flow Meter
• Water Flow Meter
• Load Cell
• Differential Air Pressure Transducer
• Current Transducer
• Relay Burst Firing Switch
• Rotational/Proximity Switch.

This package is supplied with software pre-configured for the transducers and a detailed instruction manual. Additional optional software is available to calculate pressure enthalpy data and plot refrigerant cycle diagrams with up to 15 points in the circuit and for 35 different refrigerant types. Separate software for psychrometric data calculations and diagrams is also available.

HFS300 Data Logging System with Heat Flow Transducers
A D102 Data Logging System complete  with  a  standard transducer   package   to   measure  the   heat   transfer through the walls floors and  ceilings  of  buildings.    The transducers  supplied  include  eight  patented  heat  flow transducers, two signal conditioning boxes and five  class 1 type T thermocouples.

5m extension leads, installation  equipment  and a  hand held digital display enable the  system to be easily  used on site. The unit is supplied with software pre-configured for  the  transducers   and  with   a  detailed  i nstruction manual.

HTS700 Temperature and Humidity Control
Specifically designed for use with the Test Room this package comprises a specially modified air conditioning plant operating on ozone friendly refrigerant that gives PID controlled room temperatures.

A steam generator and digital control system allows precise humidity control. The range of control conditions are specifically designed for testing of domestic and small commercial refrigerators to recognised international standards. The Temperature and Humidity Control system is also applicable to existing rooms with specific volumes and insulation levels. Details available on request.

HTS700B Test Room
This is a thermally insulated walk in test room that is designed for use with the optional Temperature and Humidity Control and the Data Logger System.

The Test Room is suitable for thermal load testing of domestic and small commercial refrigerators as well as other domestic appliances to recognised international standards when used in conjunction with the Temperature and Humidity Control. An extension package is also available as an optional extra.

HTS700C Voltage Control and Transducer Panel
This wall mounted unit houses a 10A variable voltage transformer, analogue voltmeter and digital wattmeter. The digital wattmeter has DC voltage outputs that may be used to transmit signals representing mains Voltage, Load Current and Load Power to the Data Logger System. The unit is designed to allow testing of domestic appliances at elevated temperature conditions within the Test Room and at voltages between 0 and 105% of the local supply. Other variants offer three phase voltage control and frequency conversion and monitoring.

D102B Remote Connection Panel
This panel replicates the Data Logger System screw terminals and is designed to allow transducers to be easily connected and disconnected within the Test Room while the Data Logger System remains at external ambient conditions.

D102C Power Consumption Meter
This meter is specifically designed to allow measurement of domestic appliance power consumption using the Data Logger System while under elevated ambient conditions in the Test Room. The meter has a digital display, selectable 0-20 or 0-40kWh range and will accept loads up to 10Amps and 50/60Hz.

D102D Logic Relay Transducer
This device enables the Data Logger System to record the cycle time of domestic appliances that use on/off thermostats or controls.

TYL 100 Series Test Packages
These test packages conform to an international standard and are used for load testing of domestic and commercial refrigerators and freezers.
